27 high school school students from the Inés María Mendoza School at Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico accepted the challenge of being part of the guided school visit program at the Center of Pharmaceutical Learning and Development (C-PEDaL), from the University of Puerto Rico: Mayaguez Campus on November 13, 2015, with the purpose of discover more about the pharmaceutical engineer and their role on the pharmaceutical industry.
This is the first time the school participate in one of our Guided School Visits. They're part of the four other schools of the Fall 2015 planned visits. Students in eleventh and twelfth and twegrade had the opportunity to experience some of the pharmaceutical industry process such as mixing, tableting, and even dissolution. Also, they learned about the risks of fire at a pharmaceutical industry.
The staff consisted of Madeline Candelaria, Luis F. Torrens, Juleika Villarrubia, Maritza Cruz, Ramiro A Ramirez, Sylmarie Bonet, Nicole Pagan, John Valentin, Jennyliam Rodriguez, Jackelyn I Ramos, Gabriela Martínez, Marcos Rodriguez, and Valeria Semidei.
